5 ways to save with ART Rewards

Published - 23 April 2024

A lot’s been written recently about the cost-of-living crunch. We’ve all felt it – our bills are going up, and we’re paying more (and getting less!) for the weekly shop.

Rising inflation and interest rates have caused many of us to cut back on what we buy, but they’re also changing how we buy, as shoppers hunt for better value.

With our wallets feeling the strain, many financially savvy shoppers are now putting their faith in rewards programs. And while the traditional reward program works on the principle of “spend more, earn more”, consumer sentiment has shifted to programs that offer immediate discounts that complement how you shop – and help you save.

Say hello to new ways to save

At Australian Retirement Trust, we’ve partnered with Australia’s most popular retailers to bring you over 3,000 – and counting – exclusive member deals. So, whether it’s a day out, eating in or filling up, we’ve got you covered.

Want more good news? As an Australian Retirement Trust member, you’re already eligible for Rewards1 and with no points to earn or redeem, you can start saving today – all you need is the ART Member Online app on your phone!

Over 140,000 ART members have used ART Rewards for their everyday and one-off purchases. Over the last 6 months they’ve saved more than $1.2 million.

Let the Rewards Roll In

We’ve explored the data and found five popular ways ART members are scoring cheap stuff.

  1. Offer stacking. Many ART Rewards discounts can be applied to items that are already on sale. That means your discount can get a discount.
  2. With petrol regularly topping $2 per litre in most capital cities, ART members are using our Rewards to ease the burden of filling up. We’re always working on new deals with more petrol retailers so check back regularly for savings you can make.
  3. JB Hi-Fi and Good Guys are two of our most popular retailers for those looking to buy gadgets and appliances. Their offers regularly change so keep an eye on Member Online for the latest deals. Of course, it’s always a good idea to compare and shop around.
  4. School holidays are just around the corner. Parents looking for a cheaper way to take the kids away this winter take advantage of deals from retailers like Experience OZ and Discovery Holiday Parks. If you plan ahead, you might be able to save even more money on your summer holiday!
  5. Seasonal purchases are always popular with ART members, such as saving up to 70% on bedding with Canningvale. With EOFY in just over a month, it may be an opportunity to pick up something for your home.

Don’t forget that ART Rewards are there to save you money on what you’re already planning to buy. We recommend you consider if you really need it before you make any purchasing decisions.
