Retirement of ART Chair
Media release - 19 August 2025
Australian Retirement Trust (ART) has announced its Chair, Andrew Fraser, plans to retire at its Annual Member Meeting on 20 November 2025.
Mr Fraser said that as he approached 10 years of service, now was the right time to begin a transition to enable ART to continue its trajectory of success in service of 2.4 million Australians who trust ART with their retirement savings.
“It’s been an honour to serve our members, dating back to the Sunsuper days prior to the merger that created Australian Retirement Trust,” Mr Fraser said.
“I am proud of everyone who contributed to the project to create ART, and am honoured to have played a role to establish ART. ART is, and will be, an enduring force for good - for our members, for the industry and the nation.”
ART Deputy Chair, Beth Mohle AM, will oversee a Chair transition process with the new Chair to be introduced to members at the Annual Member Meeting.
Ms Mohle thanked Mr Fraser for his service and dedication to ART’s members.
“ART is in such a strong place as a result of Andrew’s guidance, vision and efforts, and he will be greatly missed,” she said.
“Andrew will leave a legacy of unwavering commitment to the service of working Australians and the stewardship of their collective retirement savings to provide financial dignity and security in retirement.”
Background
Mr Fraser was first appointed to Sunsuper as an independent director in September 2015 and served as Chair of the Investment Committee before commencing as Chair of Sunsuper in February 2018. Following the merger with QSuper to create ART and after the retirement of the foundation Chair of ART, Don Luke, Mr Fraser stepped in to the Chair role at ART in October 2022.
Today, ART, looks after 2.4 million Australians with over $350 billion under administration.
