Super security: learn about multi–factor authentication (MFA)

What is MFA?

MFA is a security measure that requires 2 or more ways of proving a member’s identity before they can access their account. Many of our members might already have MFA on some of their other accounts, including online banking, personal email, and social media accounts.

How else members can keep their account safe

While in Member Online, members can go to their Profile page and check that their email and mobile details are up to date. Keeping contact details current is another way to protect their super.

How we already protect members’ super

We have a range of cyber security measures in place to help keep super accounts safe and help our members protect themselves from scams.

Here’s what our members can expect from us:

  • If they call us, we’ll ask them some questions so that we can verify their identity.
  • We’ll call if we’re suspicious about account activity.
  • We have proof of identity measures in place.
