ART achieves hat-trick with third year of double-digit returns for High Growth option
Australian Retirement Trust (ART) has delivered a return of 11.9% for its ART High Growth Option for the 2024/25 financial year, marking the third consecutive year the fund has delivered double-digit returns for its members.
ART’s High Growth option has outperformed the industry median of comparable options in nine of the last 10 financial years, including the last five years in a row1.
The High Growth investment option is currently the highest-performing in the SuperRatings SR50 Growth Index over the 10 years to 31 May 2025.
Reflecting on the year’s performance, ART Chief Investment Officer Ian Patrick said the fund’s strategy had proven resilient in a challenging environment.
“Despite what has been a turbulent second half of the financial year, we’ve continued to deliver strong outcomes for our members,” he said.
“Our disciplined and diversified investment strategy has enabled us to navigate market volatility effectively.”
Mr Patrick said ART’s infrastructure portfolio was a strong contributor to this year’s performance.
“Our infrastructure portfolio has delivered excellent outcomes, with particularly strong results from our airport assets, which have now rebounded to pre-COVID levels.” Mr Patrick said.
“Further boosting returns was the successful divestment of our stake in the data centre platform AirTrunk, and the strong performance of other data centre investments we own.
“This also talks to our diversified investment strategy.
“Looking back over the past five years, key drivers of our impressive investment performance for members have included listed equities, private equity, and infrastructure.”
Mr Patrick said it’s important for members to remember super is a long-term investment, especially during periods of market volatility.
“We want to remind our members that while volatility can feel unsettling, it’s a normal part of any long-term investment journey.
“Historically, market downturns give way to recoveries.
“Our investment strategies are built to manage through these cycles and aim to deliver strong outcomes over time.
“We believe in the power of financial advice and encourage Australians to seek advice before making changes to their investment decisions.
“For Australian Retirement Trust members, they can access advice as part of their membership.”
