Recruitment at ART

While the process can change depending on what role you've applied for, here are some of the steps you can expect throughout our recruitment process.

We want you to do your absolute best, so our Talent Sourcing team are available to support you through each step.

Our recruitment process

Apply for a role

Found a role that you’re excited about? Great! Apply online by uploading your CV or using your LinkedIn profile. We encourage you to include a cover letter or any other materials you think might help – totally up to you!

Showreel or career conversation

Showreel
Depending on the role you apply for, we may need you to send us a 'showreel'. A showreel is a video submission where you answer questions about your experience to help us understand how you might fit in with our team. We’ll send you an email with a link to record your video responses.

Career conversation
Instead of submitting a showreel, you might be invited for a one-on-one career conversation with our Talent Sourcing team. This is your chance to chat about your recent experiences, discuss specific skills, and share what you’re looking for in your next role and company.

Online assessment

These are a great way for us to evaluate a range of skills and traits needed for you to succeed in our roles. Don’t worry – if you’re invited to complete any online assessments, our Talent Sourcing team will provide plenty of info and tips to help you prepare.

Formal interviews

Our Talent Sourcing team will reach out to set up either an in-person or online interview. This is your opportunity to meet with the hiring manager for your role, as well as other team members. It's a chance to show what you bring to the table and ask any questions you might have about the role and our culture.

Reference checks

If you’re at the reference check stage, that’s a great sign! Our Talent Sourcing team will explain which checks are needed and why.

Who should I put down as a referee?

We’ll need at least 2 references as part of the process. Think carefully about who you choose – ideally, they should be someone who's managed or worked with you directly, and knows about your application with us.

Offer

Congratulations! Welcome to the team. A member of our Talent Sourcing team will walk you through all the details of our offer, including your start date and onboarding process. You might even get the chance to meet some of your team members before you start.

5 tips for nailing your next job interview

If you've made it to the formal interview stage, you should approach your interview with a level of seriousness and preparation. Here are some key tips to help you stand out:

  • Do your homework

Even if you know the company, take some time to research the role. Understand the responsibilities and see how your skills align. Every job ad comes with a position description that offers more info about the role – make sure to read it!

  • Practice answering questions

Think about potential questions we might ask you during your interview, and practice your responses. Focus on your past experiences, your understanding of the role, and why you're excited about the opportunity.

  • Use the STAR method

For behavioural questions, structure your answers using the STAR method. This helps you deliver clear and concise responses.

    • Describe a situation where you faced a challenge
    • Explain what the task required you to do
    • Talk about what actions you used to resolve the problem or challenge
    • Share the results of the task and the lessons you learned.
  • Dress professionally

Make a great first impression by dressing appropriate to the role. Professional attire shows respect for the interviewer, the company, and the process.

  • Show enthusiasm

Let your genuine excitement for the role shine through. This demonstrates to us your commitment and how eager you are to join our team.

By following these tips, you'll improve your chances of success in your interview with us.
